Braylon or Boldin?
There's nothing we like more at Poor Sports than a quality, relatively meaningless, sports debate. So here ya go:
Recent news indicated that the Eagles "may" be looking to trade for Braylon Edwards. Even though Braylon single handedly destroyed my fantasy team last year, I'd love to have him in midnight green in the fall. In fact, I'd prefer to have the services of Braylon over Philly fan's favorite Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin. Braylon would be a better fit for this team and this offense as well.
Think about it. Braylon is younger, taller and will come with a cheaper price tag. Rumor has it that the Eagles are offering a 2nd round pick and Reggie Brown for the Michigan alum. It would take a first round pick and then some to make a deal for Boldin happen. Not to mention that Braylon has no history of bitching at coaches or about a contract.
The proposed/possible/completely fictional Braylon trade would make more sense as far as value - the birds would be getting a better return on what they'd have to give up. Braylon had a down year on a bad team last year so now is the time to make a move. His team is desperate and his value is lower than it should be.
Sure, Braylon's stats don't compare to Boldin's but he's played on the Browns and hasn't had the luxury of an all-world receiver playing opposite him. He also hasn't had the luxury of a decent QB or running game either. Adding Edwards to the Eagles offense would make a world of difference. Time for the birds to make this happen.

BRAYLON. Boldin is a great player with a lot of guts but hes basically a more explosive version of Jason Avant with worse hands. Speaking of Avant...he's a former wolverine who already has experience playing alongside Edwards which could mean a nice smooth transition for the guy coming to the team. Think about that line up of recievers: Edwards, Jackson, Avant, Weaver, Westbrook on the field at the same time...plus we'd still have two first round picks to get an OT and a RB!!!I did and i just JIZZED IN MY PANTS
Don't sleep on KCurt either.
