ESPN attempting to bring back Primetime

No, not Prime Time . . . Primetime. Last year we were all forced to watch NBC's "Football Night in America" to get all the NFL highlights on Sunday evenings. It was truly unbearable, but unfortunately NBC has the exclusive rights to the extended highlights packages. Just ask Conniesmack if there is anything worse than listening to(or trying to listen to) Shannon Sharpe talk about his opinions on the afternoon's games.

Apparently ESPN has seen Shannon Sharpe and "Football Night in America" and like the rest of the football watching population, they thought they could do better. Starting opening weekend, the 7PM Sunday Sportscenter will be hosted by Chris Berman and Tom Jackson and feature a rundown of the day's NFL games. Sure, they won't have the same extended highlights as NBC and it probably won't be as good as the original Primetime, but if they can just get a hold of that highlight music everything will be right in the world again.
