I Actually Watched the ESPY'S

OK, I'll admit it—I like Justin Timberlake. He totally seems like a cool dude. He's hit some of the hottest chicks in the world, recorded with some great artists, sang some great songs and most recently, hosted the shit out of the ESPY'S.

Chances are they'll be replaying it for the next few days (read: weeks), as they have already re-aired it today at lunch. But if you don't catch it, allow me to deliver the video highlights below (thanks, redlasso!). If you only watch 1 clip, make it the last one. Especially if you're a Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly fan.

First off, Candace Parker won best female athlete, but I think there needs to be a recount. There is no way in hell this is the body of a female:

She looks like Andre Iguodala with those arms and shoulders. I don't know the a ton about our readers, but I'm willing to throw down $500 that says she could seriously mess up anyone in your crew. The best part is that she's legitimately better at basketball than Willie Green. I'd love to see that 1-on-1 matchup. I'll give you Willie at 3-1 odds.

Moving on with the actual bits, JT opened it all up with a clever monologue (well delivered by my man-crush) and then after Mandace Parker accepted her award, he burst out into song over his love of sports.

The Greg Oden cameo is a great start to the song, with the Jose Canseco line/picture helping the song peak before poking fun of himself and Nipplegate. The dig he takes on Rajon Rondo at the end was hilarious, but the film gets cut off and you miss Rondo's icy glare at the end. Still, it was a great bit and I actually found myself laughing while watching.

The ESPY'S show Coors Light a thing or two about playing with famous/popular sports clips. Great writing and performance. Two thumbs up!

And I saved the best for last. Though JT made the ESPY'S entertaining, I can't help but think what they would have been like with any of the alternate hosts.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are at their best in this clip. And anyone who doesn't think Dwight Howard is definitely the heir-apparent to Shaq, both on and off the court, can't seriously disagree after watching his MJ dance moves.

And that, my loyal readers, was the ESPY'S in a nutshell. I know I'm not the only one out there who watched, so what do you think?

I laughed the hardest at Canseco's nipples. That shirt looked like it was good for the clubbing.
